Jean Lacey Russell

Jean Russell went to be with the Lord Friday, May 1st, from Morningside.

She and her husband of 64 years, Russell, made their home in Resaca, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Russell; father, Coker Newton Lacey; mother, Tama McBee Lacey; brothers, Lavoyd Lacey and J.R. Lacey; sisters, Bobbie Grace Lacey and Thelma Wheat.

She is survived by her sister, Rita Lacey Barrett; children, Audrey and Tim Douglas of Resaca, Georgia and David and Lisa Russell of White, Georgia; grandchildren, Timothy and Kristen Douglas, Tara and Christopher Reich, John and Laura Leigh Russell, Michael and Becka Russell, and Samuel Russell; great-grandchildren, Claire, Vivian, and Luke Douglas, Charlotte, Louisa and Josie Russell; special sister-in-law, June Russell; a number of loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Angie Womack and the angels who loved and cared for her at Morningside.

The service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Russell will be held privately. She will be laid to rest in Swamp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
