Jane Barker Secord

Mrs. Jane Barker Secord, 80, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan “Al” Secord in 2004.
She was the manager of Dalton State College first bookstore and remained there until she retired; She was an active member of the Dalton First Presbyterian Church, where she was known for her culinary skills. She was also a graduate of Anniston High School in Anniston, Al and a graduate of Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA.
Jane is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Carol Secord of Chattanooga, Tn., Forrest and Gail Secord of Mableton, Ga.; granddaughter, Laura Secord of Chattanooga; step-grandchildren, Joshua Rothgeb, Caleb Puca and Zachary Puca; nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Sunday at 3 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Tyler Downing officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the services in the Narthex of the church.
The family request flowers be omitted and memorials made to the Huntington’s Disease Society, 158 West 29th Street, Seventh floor, New York, New York 10001-5300.
