Mrs. Vernie Stinson Gazaway, 83, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late, Charlie and Evia Dyer Stinson.
Vernie was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and best grandmother and great-grandmother ever.
Vernie is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, George Gazaway; daughter and son-in-law, Sherell and Kevin Stack; son and daughter-in-law, George Gazaway, Jr and Jeleta; mother-in-law, Edna Gazaway all of Dalton; grandchildren and their spouses, Michael Gazaway, Jeff and Nicole Gazaway, Chris and Mandy Gazaway, Shawn and Tonya Masters, Shane and Gina Masters, Wesley and Jennifer Coker, Zach and Megan Gazaway, Cody Coker and Cassie Stack; great-grandchildren, Karson Gazaway, Kaelan Gazaway, Makenzi Masters and Mason Masters; special cousin (like a brother), Tom Mulkey of East Ridge, TN; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and other cousins also survive.
Funeral Services will be at 3 P.M. Saturday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Marty Rolen, the Rev. Tony Roberson and the Rev. Walter Hare officiating.
Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 8 P.M.
