Willard Smith

Mr. Willard Duane Smith, 82, of Dalton, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at the home of his son, in Memphis, TN.
He was the son of the late Roy Lee Smith and Willie Thomas Smith and was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Betty Rose Hackney Smith in 2003 and his brother Roy Kell Smith. He served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army’s First Infantry Division in post-war Germany.
Willard is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Wendy Smith of Memphis, TN.; his sister, Lyla Jordan of Dalton, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Odell and Betty Smith of Dalton, GA, and Troy and Barbara Smith of Cedartown, GA,; special nephew and niece, Tony and Bertha Smith along with a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
Services will be Saturday at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Junior Clayton officiating,
Burial will follow in the Dawnville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Love Funeral Home Friday from 5 to
7 P.M.
