Richardia "Richie" Gibson

Richardia “Richie” Gibson, 74, of Daytona Beach Shores passed away peacefully at her home with her husband by her side on February 12, 2011. Richardia was born in Varnell, GA on August 15, 1936 to the late Asbury & Lorena (Daugherty) Wilson. A Memorial Church Service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2:00pm located at Westminster By-The-Sea Presbyterian Church, 3221 S. Peninsula Drive, Daytona Beach Shores, Fla. 32118. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 36 years, Finley F. Gibson III, her son, Greg Osborn and wife Faith & his daughter Tiffany Hewitson; her daughter, Aime Osborn-Bischoff and husband David & their children Corey, Shelby & Cole, other children are son Finley F. Gibson IV and wife Grace & their children Finley (Jake) Gibson V and his wife Daisy & Tina Miller; son Duane Gibson and wife Jolynn & their children Duane, Jr., Darren, Derek & Dana; daughter Faith Osborn & her children Hope, Charity, Joy and her husband Ryan, son Scott Sprigg and wife Misty & their child Scott, Jr.; her brother, Jim Wilson and wife Gladys; her sisters, Mary Sue Souther and husband J.B., Doris Lee and deceased husband Bob, Ysleta Morgan and husband Ralph, Freda Thomas and husband Jerry, and her deceased brother J.B. Wilson and wife Eudy; 7 Great-Grandchildren and numerous loving nephews and nieces. Richie enjoyed spending time with family and close friends. Some of her favorite activities were sewing, crossword puzzles, watching westerns, shopping, playing cards, traveling, cruises, reading & dining with friends. She will be remembered most by her musical talents as a pianist/organist and her strong Christian spirituality. She was a piano teacher for many years, played for most churches she attended and a member of the Pilot Club. She was instrumental in establishing & Co-founder of Prestige Carpet of Daytona in 1981 and retired in 2001.
