Leon Taylor

Mr. Leon Taylor, 89, of Rocky Face, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late, Sam and Madie Allen Taylor and was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Leon was a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly for 62 years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Lois Epperson Taylor of Rocky Face; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Lynn and Baidar Bakhat of Calhoun; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny R. and Elaine Taylor of Chatsworth and Gerald W. and Brenda Taylor of Rocky Face; sisters, Josephine Carter of Dallas, TX., Pauline McDonald of Simms, TX., and Faye Griffin of Texarkana, AK.; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 P. M. Saturday from the Church of God of the Union Assembly with the Rev. Trey Starnes, the Rev. Lonnie Starnes and the Rev. James Pratt officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 9 P.M.
