Duzzie Moore

Mrs. Duzzie Elizabeth Adams Moore, age 87 of Dalton, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday March 12, 2011. She was born April 10, 1923 in Whitfield County, Georgia, the daughter of the late John and Roxie Duncan Adams.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Quillian Houston Moore, son Tommy Houston Moore, brothers William (Bill) Adams, Leon (Bud) Adams, and sister Dothula Adams.
Duzzie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Dalton, Georgia.
She is survived by her son, John Allan Moore of Chattanooga, TN; daughter, Kimmy Denise Moore of Dalton; daughters and sons-in-laws, Phyllis and Fred Roe of Kodak, TN, Kay and Doug Curtis of Chattanooga,TN; daughter-in-law, Karen Moore of Rocky Face, GA; brother, Walter R. Adams of Lehigh Acres, FL.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Tony (Tina) Moore of Dalton, Krista (Patrick) Wingfield of Calhoun, Brandy (Jeremy) Southerland of Cohutta, Brian (Bridgette) Harris of Chatsworth, Loniann (Shawn) Farris of Knoxville,TN, Tyler Moore of Chattanooga, Robby Roe and Tony Smith of Kodak, TN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and blessed with eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express our sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home and to the wonderful care of Hamilton Hospice both of Dalton.
Services to celebrate the life of our mother, Duzzie Moore, will be held Tuesday March 15, 2011 at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home in Dalton with the Rev. Larry Marlin of Unity Baptist Church officiating.
Graveside services to lay our mother to rest will follow at Whitfield Memorial Gardens in Dalton.
The family will receive friends and loved ones Monday after 5 P.M. at Love Funeral Home.
