Mrs. Agnes Carver Howell, 86, of Dalton, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late, Howard and Ona Dean Carver and was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Howell; children, Joyce Hall, Robert Howell and Sandra Llano; brothers and sister, Calvin Carver, Maebell Wimpey, Jesse Carver and Earl Carver.
Agnes was a avid participant in the Senior Olympics and was a regular visitor at the Dalton/Whitfield Senior Center. She loved to play bingo and was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Rose and Gary Gray of Tunnel Hill and Shirley Howell of Dalton; sister, Dot Osborne of Dalton; brother, Johnny Carver of Calhoun; 10 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Floyd officiating.
Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday from 12 to 2 P.M.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Dalton/Whitfield Senior Center, c/o Senior Olympics, 302 Cappes St., Dalton, Ga. 30720.
