Mr. Ray E. Ball, 74, of Dalton, passed away Friday, May 4, 2007 at his residence.
He was the son of the late, William H. and Nannie Mae Boatwright Ball and was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Ball Sumner; two brothers, Hubert Ball and Ralph Ball.
Ray was a veteran of the United Sates Army, having served during the Korean War in the Big Red One Infantry Division and as an M.P.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 1/2 years, Flossie Nelson Ball of Dalton.
Brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Arnold Ball of Acworth, GA., Mack and Nita Ball, Floyd and Peggy Ball all of Dalton; sister-in-law, Evelyn Ball of Chatsworth;brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William “Bill” and Rosemary Nelson of MI., Hershel and Faye Nelson of Dalton.
Many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Monday at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Kisor and the Rev. Weems White officiating.
Burial will be in Kriescher-Schneider-Nelson cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 8 P. M. at Love Funeral Home.
