George Oscar Wilson,
August 11, 1938 to April 29, 2007
Born in Dalton, GA
Graduated Valley Point HS in 1956.
Graduate of University of Georgia with several graduate degrees.
Passed away in DeLand, Florida where he lived and taught
at Florida Technical College for the past ten years.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Wilson also of DeLand, FL,
a daughter, Anne Parise and son-in-law John Parise of Dallas, GA,
his son, Lee Wilson and daughter-in-law Marsha Wilson of Resaca, GA,
several step-children and step-grandchildren. Cousins residing in the Dalton, GA, area are Hazel Metcalf, Brenda Harris, and Ernest Poteet.
Also to be mentioned are thousands of students to whom he dedicated his
life and wisdom for over forty-four years. This is his greatest legacy.
Memorial services will be Saturday, May 12 at 11 A.M. from Dug Gap Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Volusia / Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Tr., Port Orange, Fl., 32129.
