Mr. Kenneth M. Banks, 68, of Dalton, passed away Thursday April 14, 2011 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late Rev. Maurice Banks.
Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Air force and was a member of McFarland Hill Baptist Church.
He was a pilot and loved aviation and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Joan Pettit Banks of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Banks of Lake Lure, NC; Matthew “Marty” and Patricia Banks of Brooks, GA., and Raymond and Sabrina Holt of Chatsworth; mother Betty Banks of Dalton; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Ruth and Rev. Walter Hare and Cindy Dover all of Chatsworth; brother-in-law, Don Pettit of Dalton; grandchildren, Theory Giorgio, Cain Banks, Max Banks, Cayden Banks. Brayden Holt and Kaylee Holt; nephews and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Hare officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 5 to 8 P.M.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial may be made to the American Heart Association, 519 E. Fourth St., Chattanooga, TN. 37403.
