John H. Shuler

Mr. John H. Shuler,77, of Dalton, departed his life on earth, Saturday, May 7, 2011. He was the son of the late Charlie and Eula Hagin Shuler and was preceded in death by his sister Elaine Hayes. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lillian Nelson Shuler of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Sonia Shuler of Cohutta; Eric and Michelle Shuler of Dalton; grandchildren, Jeremy Shuler, Erica Shuler, Leigha and Brad Petty;great-grandchildren, Cade Petty and Judson Petty; sisters, Betty Benton of Cartersville and Wanda Davis of Chatsworth; brother, Howard Shuler of Dalton; nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Monday at 3 pm in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Ratcliff, Rev. Donnie Flood, and Rev. Lamar Beason officiating.
Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery with American Legion Post #112 providing graveside rites.
The family will recieve friends at Love Funeral Home Sunday from 5 til 8 pm.
