Mozelle Jennings

Mrs. Martha Mozelle Ridley Jennings, age 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, May 17, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Ridley of the Beaverdale Community, her husband of over 60 years, Ralph Jennings, brothers Eugene, Ernest, Carl, and Frank Ridley and brother-in-law Bentley (Red) Jennings and sisters-in-law Ruth, Lorene, Sibyl, and Frances Ridley of Dalton.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Mike Henderson of Rocky Face, son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Tracy Jennings of Dripping Springs, Texas, grandchildren Valerie and Ed Silva of Tunnel Hill and six-year-old twins John and Michael Jennings of Texas, great-grandchildren Henry and Emma June Silva, sisters Betty Walls and Mary Sue Loughridge of Dalton, brother and sister-in-law Paul and Lois Ridley of Warner Robbins, brother Glenn Ridley of Dalton, sister-in-law Kathryn Jennings of Dalton, and many nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors, and church friends at South Dalton Baptist Church.
Mozelle cared deeply for her family and loved to cook for them and others. Her family will remember the many, many shared meals around her table. She loved to garden and kept an immaculate lawn, caring for it personally up to the onset of her illness at age 81. She always showed kindness and compassion to everyone around her and loved to show it in practical ways. She and her quirky charm are greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be at 11 A. M. Friday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Trammell Campbell officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 to 9p.m.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family may contribute to the charity of their choice.
