Mildred Blackwood

Mrs. Mildred Spears Blackwood, 86, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late, Walter and Clara Richardson Spears and was preceded in death by her husband, H. O. Blackwood in 1979 and her sister, Nell Butler.
Mildred is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Jan Blackwood of Rocky Face, Hank and Cassandra Blackwood of Dawnville; grandchildren, Beau Blackwood, Allie Blackwood and Jackson Blackwood; niece, Sheryl Brewster and her children, Greg and Briana Brewster; nephew and niece, Mark and Cindy Butler of Rome, GA. and their son, David Butler.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 5 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Jones officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 2 to 5 P.M.
