Mr. Thomas William “Tom” McClure, 87, of Dalton Passed away Friday June 3, 2011 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Thomas F. and Mary Dixon McClure and was preceded in death by his first, wife Mary Ruth White McClure; son Larry McClure; brothers, James McClure and Marshall McClure.
Tom was a veteran of the United Stares Army having proudly served during World War II.
He was a caring husband, loving father, grandfather and a devoted friend.
Tom attended Welcome Valley Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Frances McClure of Dalton; daughter Sylvia McClure of Dalton; sister Margarette Ingle of Chatsworth; grandson Tim (Hilda) Mills; great-grandchild Austin Mills; step-son Edward (Betty) Foster of Dalton; step-grandchildren, Kim (John) Langham and Crystal (Dewey) Conner; step-great-grandchildren, Jared Langham, Caroline Conner, Eli Conner and Ella Conner; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. Monday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Jonathan Padgett and the Rev. Bobby Green officiating.
Burial will be in Dawnville Cemetery with full military honors.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Sunday from 5 to 9 P.M.
