John Cornelison

Mr. John Edward Cornelison, 81, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, June 22,2011.
He was the son of the late, J. A. “ Jessie” Cornelison, SR. and Lily Watkins Cornelison and was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Cheek; brothers, Hershel Cornelison, J. A.
Cornelison, JR. and Ray Cornelison.
He was of the Baptist faith; retired from the U. S. Army after 28 years of service and was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion Post # 112.
John is survived by his wife, Reine Khabbaz Cornelison of Dalton; daughters and son-in-law, Mary and Gene Myers of Hattiesburg, MS, and Betty Cornelison of Biloxi, MS; son and daughter-in-law, John Edward Cornelison, JR and Ellice of Tallahassee, FL; brother and sisters-in-law, Elvin and Catherine Cornelison and Linda Cornelison all of Dalton; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.
Military Services will be Monday at 2:30 P.M. at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN. Burial will follow.
The family will receive friends at the Love Funeral Home Monday from 10 A.M. to
1 P.M.
The family request flowers be omitted and memorials be made to one’s favorite charity.
