Melvin James Johnson, Jr.

Mr. Melvin James Johnson, Jr., 78, of Dalton, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007 at Erlanger Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie James Johnson.
Melvin was a member and deacon at the Church of God of the Union Assembly.
He was a beloved husband, father and christian.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Mildred Dillingham Johnson of the Dalton.
Children and their spouses, Venesia and Sumerset Guerrant of Roanoke, Va, Brenda and Ernest Brown of Rocky Face, Billy Edward and Darlene Mallett of Dalton, Michael and Elaine Mallett of Rocky Face, Jesse Shannon Mallett of Dalton.
15 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday at the Church of God of the Union Assembly.
Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park in Red Bank, TN.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Tuesday after 5 P.M.
