Maudlean "Maudie" Cowart

Mrs. Maudlean A. “Maudie” Thomas Cowart, 77, of Dalton, passed away Saturday July 16, 2011 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Carl and Froney Payne Thomas and was preceded in death by her husband Edd Cowart and several brothers.
She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Dawnville.
Maudie is survived by her brother and sister -in-law, Lester and Gladys Thomas of Orlando, FL.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Pauline Thomas and Frances Thomas both of Blue Ridge, GA., Jeanette and Roy Sitton, Shirley and William Russell, Robbie Cowart and Mozelle Green all of Chatsworth; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special thank you to her church family at Harmony Baptist Church, as she thought of them as her family as well.
Services will be at 11 A. M. Tuesday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. James Boyd officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 9 P.M.
