Robert "Bob" Williams

Mr. Robert Lee “Bob” Williams, also known as “Professional”, 69, of the Tilton Community Dalton, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He was the son of the late, Jim and Ruth McCarley Williams.
Bob was a veteran of the United States Navy; was retired from the Whitfield County Fire Dept.; and was a member of the Dalton Shrine Club, The Yaarab Temple; the Tilton Masonic Lodge # 291 and Tilton Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Doris Williams of Dalton; daughters and son-in-law, Genny and John Chester, IV. and Patty Atkins all of Dalton; sisters, Betty Trammell of Dalton and Sherion Hornsby of Delaware; brothers, Hubert “Bill” Williams of Dalton, Vernon Williams of Tunnel Hill, Thomas Williams and Duke Williams both of Dalton and Henry Williams of Thomasville, GA.; grandchildren, John Chester, V. and Cherié, Malana Atkins, Jacob Chester, Nicholas Atkins and Olivia Chester; great-granddaughter, Victoria Chester; nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 P.M. from Tilton Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Beach officiating.
Burial will be in Tilton Cemetery with Tilton Masonic Lodge # 291 in charge of graveside rites.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Tuesday from 4 to 9 P.M.
The family request in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, P.O. Box 1571, Dalton, Ga. 30722-1571.
