Mary Whitfield

Mrs. Mary Powell Whitfield, 79, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Edward Fulghum and second husband, Dr. Truman Whitfield.
Mary is survived by her children and spouses, Baird and Alice Fulghum of Jacksonville, FL., Jim Fulghum of Dalton, Keith Fulghum and Pascal Martin of Purcellville, VA., Truman and Deb Whitfield of Dalton, Martha Willis of Hickory, NC. and Sandy Fulghum of San Fernando, CA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester and Nettie Powell of Jacksonville, FL., Raymond and Grace Powell and Mrs. Robert Powell all of Augusta, GA; ten grandchildren, Leah, Carlton, Anna, Tessa, Brook, Andrew, Derrick, Heather, Kimberly and Tom; four great-grandchildren, Emma, Lila, Olivia and Addison; longtime best friends, Shirley Dunn and Kitty Felker both of Dalton; number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 4 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Dr. Robin Lindsey officiating.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 2 to 4 P.M.
