Brenda Steele

Mrs. Brenda Ray Steele, 68, of Dalton and formerly of Lancaster, SC., went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 2, 2011.
Brenda was born August 12, 1943 in Bethune, SC. and was preceded in death by her parents, T.J. and Irene Ray; son, Richard Bailey Steele Jr. and niece, Celeste Vinson.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Chaplain Richard Steele; son, Tom Steele; daughters, Gina Sweenie (Rick Eaton) and Holly Rann (Brian); sisters and brothers-in-law, Teresa and Ricky Redford of Cartersville, VA. and Vickie and Tommy Harris of Lancaster, SC.; granddaughters, Nicole Sweenie and Elyse, Adia and Eden Rann; special niece, Kimberly Thurman and special “grandson”, Brandon Thurman and many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Celebration of the life of Brenda Ray Steele will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 2 P.M. at Fellowship Bible Church, 2044 Dug Gap Rd., Dalton Ga . Burial will follow at the Dug Gap Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday, October 3, 2011 from 5 to 8 P.M..
