Mr. Donald L. Dixon, 69, of Dalton, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2007 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late, John Dixon and Pauline Lizza Ballew Dixon and was preceded in death by his brother, Willie Dixon; sister, Lucille Robertson and step-sister, Marie Tipton.
Donald was the former owner of Dixon Ambulance, Dixon Music and Bobbie’s Florist.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Bobbie Covington Dixon of Dalton;
daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Gary Stephens of Dalton; granddaughter, Amber Stephens of Dalton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Reba and Jimmy Banks, Sylvia and Donald Mulkey all of Calhoun, Ga.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold and Jo Dixon of Dalton, Billy and Gail Dixon of Calhoun; step-brother and sister-in-law, Johnny J. and Joyce Dixon of Calhoun; special buddy, Josh Locke of Dalton; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 P. M. at the Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church, on the Dalton South Bypass, with the Rev. Junior Clayton, the Rev. Clayton Brown and the Rev. Ronald Guffey officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Ricky Raburn, Jimmy Thorne, James Mathis, Rick Schuller, Terry Bryson, Larry Miolen, Mitchell Smith and Henry Parks serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Love Funeral Home Tuesday after 4 P. M,
