Hazel Crawford Mcdonald

Mrs. Hazel Crawford McDonald, 91, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2007 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late, Hubert H. and Nettie Reed Crawford and was preceded in death by her son, John H. McDonald; sisters, Rosa Crawford Calloway and Dorothy Crawford Kitchens; brother, William H. Crawford.
The Crawford family were early settlers in the Gordon Springs area of Whitfield County. Hazel owned and operated the North Dalton Food Mart until she began her career in the practice of law. She was one of the first women to be admitted to the State Bar of Georgia. She also served as secretary/treasurer of the Probate Judges retirement fund until her retirement.
Hazel is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Crawford and Ann McDonald of Dalton; grandchildren, David McDonald of Dalton, Zack and Melissa McDonald of Sidney, NE, Holly and Randy Rimes of Kline, S. C., Crawford Kelly McDonald,
Kendall and Debrah McDonald and Kevin McDonald all of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Jackson and Mary Crawford of Rocky Face; brother-in-law, Charlie Kitchens of Rocky Face; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be Friday at 2 P. M. at the Dalton First United Methodist Church with the Dr. Joe Peabody officiating.
Burial will be in Dunagan Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Atrium of the Church Friday from Noon to
2 P. M.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to one’s favorite charity.
