Mr. David Eugene Wilson, 84, of Dalton passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at his residence following several months of declining health.
David was born March 1, 1923 in Whitfield County, the youngest son of the late Eugene and Octavia Barnes Wilson.
He was a decorated W.W. II veteran who served his country with honor in both European and Pacific Theaters. For many years, he and his brother operated
W. C. Wilson’s Cars.
David was preceded in death by his brother, W. Clint Wilson and an infant granddaughter, Ashley Leigh Anna Teasley.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Frances Quinton Wilson of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Tim Cannon Teasley of Dalton, Barry and Kaye Cannon Cooper of Calhoun; brother and sister-in-law, Seth and Frances Wilson of Dalton; sister-in-law, Tennessee Wilson of Dalton;
grandchildren, Matthew Teasley, Aaron Teasley both of Dalton, Graham Cooper of Calhoun and Chelsea Cooper of Los Angeles, CA..
Nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Beach and Dr. Ron McKinney officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Kinsey Drive Baptist Church, 2626 Kinsey Dr. S.W., Dalton, Ga. 30720 or Rock Bridge Community Church, 100 West Gordon St., Dalton, Ga. 30720.
