Billy Cavender

Mr. Billy Cavender, 72, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday October 25, 2011 at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was the son of the late, Lee and Lela Cavender and was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Joyce Cavender; sisters, Esta Mae Biles and Bernice Bryant.
Billy was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of Dug Gap Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Sue Cavender; granddaughter, Katie Cochran and great-grandchildren, Jibril and Leila all of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Dewey and Joann Cavender of Dalton; special brother-in-law, Don Biles and special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pat and John Earl Brooker all of Dalton;
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 P.M. from Dug Gap Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Byron Edens and the Rev. Bob Bagley officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M.
