She them began to work at Decorating Supply where she worked alongside her sister, Laura, as well as her older sister, brother-in-law, and nephew, the late Flossie Orr, Luther Orr, and L.S. Orr, Jr. She then returned to her love, the beauty industry where she worked for decades for Hazel McDonald, Pauline Shipley, Lloyd Keith, and Rosemary Jasperse. During this time she also assisted Laura in her seamstress endeavors she conducted at their home. She continued to “go to work” six days a week at A Touch of Beauty until January of 2011. She is survived by her “special nephew”, Dr. Dan L. Burns and his spouse, Rev. Tony Crapolicchio of Avondale Estates, Georgia. She is also survived by her sisters; Mrs. Louie Thomason and Mrs. Ivan Strain, both of whom continue to live in Dalton. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews. Vinnie’s ashes have been interned next to her late sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Cecil Burns in West Hill Cemetery.
