Nelle May

Mrs. Nelle Calhoun May, 94, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at her residence.
Nelle was a member of the Dalton First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, of 62 years, Robert L. “Bob” May in 2007; She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Bertie Calhoun and was preceded in death by her sisters, Dot Broadrick and Ruth Shepard; brothers, Pete Calhoun, George Calhoun and James Calhoun.
Survivors are her son, Robert Lewis May, Jr. of Calhoun, GA; daughter, Lisa May Douglas of Dalton; grandchildren, John Michael and Lilly Douglas of Chattanooga, TN.;
sister, Montez Bramlett of Vidalia, GA; special caregiver, Rosemary Rocky; nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Dalton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends in the atrium at the church Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
