James "Earl" Smith

Mr. James “Earl” Smith, 89, of Ringgold, passed away Saturday November 12, 2011 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tessie Smith on November 4, 2011. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Earl is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Charles Osborne of Atlanta; sons and daughter-in-law, Ken Smith of Dalton and Roy and Lisa Smith of Rossville; grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Phillip Smith, Kelley Smith, Jana Smith and Aaron Russell; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline and Sylvia.
Services will be Monday at 4 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Hampton officiating.
Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Chattanooga.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday from 2 to 4 P.M.
The family request that flowers please be omitted and memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 922 E. Morris St., Dalton, Ga. 30721.
