Mrs. Virginia Hill Quarles, 84, of Inverness, FL. and formerly of Dalton, died Friday, December 2, 2011, under the loving care of her family at the Hospice Unit at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness.
Virginia was born in Dalton on May 27, 1927 to the late Clarence and Addie (Keown) Hill and was preceded In death by her husband Paul Quarles, Jr, in 1997 and her son, Paul Quarles, III on August 1, 2004.
She was a graduate of Gulfpark College in Gulfport, Mississippi and attended the New York School of Interior Design and she was a member of the Dalton First United Methodist Church. She was Interior designer for Hill Furniture Store, which was owned by her father, Clarence Hill.
In 1972, Virginia and her late husband, Paul moved to Inverness and built the Westgate Shopping Plaza where they owned and operated the Westgate Furniture Store. They returned to Ellijay, Georgia in 1985.
In 2008 she moved back to Inverness with her daughter, Marsha.
She is survived by her daughter Marsha Quarles and her grandson, Kevin Whaley both of Inverness.
Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Wednesday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home. with the Rev. Dr. Robin Lindsey officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 P.M. til the funeral at 2 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Dalton First United Methodist Church P.O. 627, Dalton, GA. 30722-0627
