Mr. Ramon Brown, 79, of Rocky Face, passed away Sunday December 4, 2011 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Edgar Clyde Brown and Edna Mae Fuller Brown.
Ramon attended Southern Mississippi University where he graduated Cum Laude.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Brown of Rocky Face; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Pam Brown of Paducah, KY; daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Butch Conway of Dacula, GA; step-sons and their spouses, Jerry and Angela Watkins of Tunnel Hill and Mike and Yvonne Watkins of Ringgold; sister, Carolyn Sterling of Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Douglas and Honorine Brown of Panama City Beach, FL. and Bill and Brenda Brown of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Elizabeth Brown, Trey Watkins, Tyler Watkins, Kathleen Watkins, Gracie Watkins, Cameron Watkins and Nathan Brooks; great-grandchild, Cooper Brooks; nieces and nephews; and his many friends, especially those in the Gordon Springs Community.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 2 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Dalton with the Dr. Billy Nimmons and the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating.
Ramon’s Sunday School class, the class of Dr. Estill Jones will be honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends in the atrium of the church Wednesday from
Noon to 2 P.M.
The family request that flowers please be omitted and memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Dalton, P.O. Box 827, Dalton, Ga. 30722-0827.
