Mrs. Edith Center Carpenter, 78, of Dalton went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 5, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
She was the daughter of the late G.W. and Lula Center and was preceded in death by her husband, Evan (Harold) Carpenter, Sr; brother and sister-in-law, Daniel Clay and Helen Center; and sisters, Ruby Nations and Josephine Ledford.
Edith is survived by her children; sons, Evan (Lily) Carpenter of Aiken, SC., Zane Yogi and Vickie Carpenter of Cleveland, TN; special son and daughter-in-law, Jeff Smith and Flora Rogers of Dalton; daughters, Angela Carpenter and Regina Monique Carpenter both of Dalton; granddaughter, Diana Swanson of Chatsworth; grandson, Nicholas Laminack of Cleveland, TN; brothers, Clarence Center of Amarillo, TX, Arvil Cotis (Juanita) Center of Resaca; she is also survived by nieces and nephews and the many children she loved and nurtured over the years.
We thank and fully acknowledge the kindness and love of Hamilton Home Health and Hamilton Hospice and we are forever grateful for the love and support of Dr. Robert Simmons.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Ross Jordan officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers the family request to make donations to the charity of your choice.
