Katherine Hix

Mrs. Katherine Bailey Hix, 50, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday March 6, 2012 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Josie Bailey; her half brothers, Winston Bailey and Leon Bailey.
She was a woman of remarkable tallent and compassion, offering love and comfort to the three orphaned animals that came to join our family. She loved working in her garden and even more so, sharing the fruits of her labor with others.
Always of good humor and mischief. Her love, laughter and light will surely be missed.
Katherine is survived by her husband, Wayne Hix and daughter, Raven Hix both of Dalton; aunts, Lucy Burger Staten, Kay Wood Staten and Betty Bailey Long all of Dalton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gail and Grover Stanley, Jr. of Dalton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny and Carol Hix of Dalton; special friends, Nancy Kelley of Ringgold, Anita Long of Dalton, Vickie Nesbitt Swinney and Carol Law Byers both of Dalton; nephews, Egan Stanley, Chris Hix, Laura McWhorter, Julie Sanders, Scott Beavers and Kenny Beavers.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Addis and the Rev. Tim Powers officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m..
