Lois Alexander Perry Darrah Tate

Mrs. Tate was born September 19, 1916, in Mays Bend in Pell City Alabama, and died September 8, 2007 in Dalton, GA. Mrs. Tate lived in Pell City most of her life before moving to Dalton in 2004. Mrs. Tate was preceded in death by her father Newman Turner Alexander; mother, Mittie Ophilia Kaufman Alexander; daughter, Peggy Ann Jeffcoat; brothers, Paul Alexander and Rev. Charles Henry Alexander; sisters, Florence Alexander and Louise Alexander Callahan.
She was owner-operator of Clip and Dip Dog Groomers for 31 years until she was 81 years of age. She was an active member of the Pell City Church of Christ. While in Dalton she attended the South Dalton Bypass Church of Christ.
Mrs. Tate is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jo Perry and Dick Otten; sons and daughters-in-law, Norman F. and Carol Perry, Wayne and Regina Perry; sister, Ruth Alexander Bell; brother, Houston Alexander; seven Grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Jimmie Goswick.
Mrs. Tate will be dearly missed be her family and friends in Pell City and Dalton.
Services will be Monday at 11:30 A. M. in Pell City, Al.
The family will receive friends Sunday September 9, 2007 from 4 to 9 P.M. at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City.
In lieu of flowers contribution can be made to Hospice in Pell City or Country Side Hospice in Lafayette, Ga.
