Wilburn Whitmore

Mr. Wilburn M. Whitmore, 80, of Dalton passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012 at his residence.
He was the son of the late James and Nellie Whitmore and was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald Whitmore, Jack Whitmore, Edward Whitmore, George Whitmore and the Rev. James Whitmore, Jr; sisters, Opal Whitmore and Irene Whitmore; son-in-law, Rev. Larry Tallent.
Wilburn is survived by his wife, Annie Mae Whitmore of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Barbara Whitmore of Dalton; daughters and son-in-law, Ruthann and Ricky Stover and Betsy Tallent all of Chatsworth;8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:30 A.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Whitmore and the Rev. Ricky Tallent officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Sunday after 4 P.M.
