Mr. Bruce Edmon Parker, 55, of Dalton, passed away Friday morning, September 21, 2007 at Hamilton Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was the son of the late, John and Beatrice Ridley Parker and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Jennie Parker, Tom and Maggie Ridley.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Janice Maeger Parker of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Kari and Michael Plavich of Dalton; son, Matthew Parker of Dalton; his grandson and the light of Bruce’s life, Isaac Plavich of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Judy Parker of Dalton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Betty Maeger of Dalton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stephen and Rita Maeger of Dalton; nieces and nephews, Crystal and Jeff Garland, Rhonda and James Thomas and Cody Baker all of Dalton; aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Services will be Sunday at 3 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Peabody, the Rev. Billy Beard and the Rev. James Hughes officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the Love Funeral Home Saturday after 5 P.M.
