Betty Jean Sawyer

Mrs. Betty Jean Head Sawyer, 82, of Ringgold passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Hospice Shepherd Cove in Albertville, Alabama.
She was born June 12, 1929 in Dalton to the late Aldeane and Lois Head and was preceded in death by her husband, James Sawyer; son, Rodney Sawyer and sister, Bobbie Deane Head Barton.
Betty was a 1946 graduate of Dalton High School and was retired from the Diagnostic Clinic in Chattanooga.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Andrea Yeargin of Rossville, GA. and Phyllis and Paul Williams of Grant, AL; daughter-in-law, Janice Sawyer of Marietta, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and James White of Dalton; special friend, Ed Moore, Jr. of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Janifer and Rob Saxon of Brooklet, GA, Ryan and Betsy Sawyer of Atlanta, Katie Sawyer of Marietta, GA, James, Rachel and Christina Williams of Grant, AL; three great-grandchildren, Hadley and Natalie Saxon of Brooklet, GA. and Sidney Sawyer of Atlanta; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Allen Fleming officiating.
Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Chattanooga.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M.
