Mr. Felix Franklin Brackett, 83, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday May 16, 2012 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late, Jefferson Davis and Mamie Arnold Brackett and was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Albertson Brackett; sister and brothers, Ida Mae Brackett Painter, John D. Brackett, Marshall Bracket and F. J. Bracket.
Felix was a member and former board member of the Church on the Hill (formerly Evangelical Methodist Church).
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Cole Brackett of Dalton; children and their spouses, Marla and Steve Randolph of Atlanta, Chris and Regina Brackett of Dalton, Gary and Patricia Cole of Dalton, Brenda and Eli Carden of Rocky Face, Lamar and Debra Cole of Colorado Springs, CO, Kaye and John Henderson of Atlanta; grandchildren, John Taliaferro (Stephanie Grenade), Katherine Randolph (Derrick) Allen, John Alston Brackett, Ethan Christopher Brackett, Allen (Tammy) Carden, Penny (Matt) Turso, Beth (Rodney) Heath, Carrie (Greg) Brown, Michael Cole, Jacob (Karen) Hendon, Jennifer (Kevin) Pitre, David (Kristina) Cole, Daniel Cole, and Mike Cole; great-grandchildren, Jack Eliot Allen, Lucy Katherine Allen, Cam Carden, Cory Carden, Cody Carden, Colby Carden, Grant Heath, Holly Heath, Eli Turso, Brayden Turso, Zeke Turso and Rylee Brown; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Taylor and the Rev. James H. Snell officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 7 P.M.
The family ask that flowers please be omitted and memorials be made to The Church on the Hill, P.O. Box 62, Dalton, GA 30722.
