Moses "Mose" Garrison

Mr. Moses (Mose) Monroe Garrison, 88, of Dalton passed away Wednesday May 16, 2012 at his home in Dalton after a long illness.
He was born in Chattanooga, TN on February 2, 1924.
Mose was the son of the late, Luther F. Garrison and Mattie Hawkins Garrison of the Dawnville Community and was preceded in death by his brothers, Cliff Garrison of Shannon, GA, Grady Garrison, Arthur Garrison and Richard Garrison all of Dalton; sisters Eula Lee Wallace and Novella Gulledge both of Dalton.
Moses served in the United States Navy for four years during World War II.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Katherine Jones Garrison of Dalton; sisters Myrtle Jones of Calhoun and Christine Russell of Dalton; several nieces and nephews, special caregiver Starr Neislee; special sister-in-law, Vivian Jones; special nieces, Theresa Boggs, Pat Gray and Carol Long.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Stan Lester, the Rev. Clyde Richman and the Rev. Bruce Edwards officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
