Christian Moseley Bryant, 18, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11:58 A.M. at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger.
Christian was born November 22, 1993, in Dalton, Georgia. An avid and competitive runner, Christian ran the marathon of her life as she bravely and fearlessly battled leukemia. She was a 2012 graduate with honors of Girls Preparatory School and the first recipient of the Jane Henegar Christian Character Award. She was accepted and planned to attend The Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta with a focus on Environmental Engineering. Christian dreamed of making this world a better place , and planned to use her education and life to achieve her goals.
Christian pursued Christ joyfully and energetically. She served the needs of others, and her God-inspired character some brightly as a beacon of His love and grace. Christian had accepted that God had a plan for her that was far better than anything she could have imagined.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, the Reverend Robert D. Moseley (Poppy) and brother, Joshua Shepherd Bryant.
She is survived by her parents, Robyn and Chris Bryant; sister, Bailey Bryant; grandmother, Justine Moseley; grandparents, Quinn and Shirley Bryant; aunts and uncles, Jeanne Moseley and Stephen Schmidt, David Moseley, Greg and Lisa Bryant, Kelly and Greg Land; cousins, Noah and Sabena Schmidt, Paige and Jay Bryant, Leslie Ellison, MacKenzie and Morgan Land.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 P.M. at the Dalton First United Methodist Church with the Dr. Robin Lindsey, the Dr. Eric Gratias and Jane Henegar officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from noon to 2 P.M. in the atrium of the church.
The family wishes to support the effort to establish a free standing Children’s Hospital at Erlanger. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial gifts be sent to the Christian Bryant Foundation, Community Foundation of Northwest Georgia, P.O. Box 942, Dalton, Ga. 30722.
