Betty L. Higgins

Mrs. Betty L. Higgins, 68, of Tunnel Hill, passed away Wednesday June 6, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late, C. F. and Marie Manley Higgins and was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Higgins and a brother, Terry Higgins.
For 29 1/2 years Betty was the Director of the Northwest Georgia Family Crisis Center, which serves Gordon, Murray and Whitfield Counties.
Betty was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church (Lake Frances), and graduated with honors from U. T. C..
Betty gave her life to the service of others.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard Moreland of Tunnel Hill, sons, Barry, Brian and Mitchell Coker; step-children, Loretta, Lynette, Lori and Mary Beth; sister, Brenda Babb of Rocky Face; brothers, Kenneth Higgins and Tim Higgins both of Cleveland, TN; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. Saturday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Stacy Hensley officiating.
Burial will be in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Friday from 5 to 9 P.M.
