Marlene Griggs

Mrs. Marlene Page Griggs, 78, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard Wyman Page and Mary Ellen Cannon Page.
Marlene is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert L. “Bob” Griggs; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Carol Griggs; daughter, Leigh Ellen Griggs and grandson, Jonathan Griggs all of Dalton; special brother and sister-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Griggs graduated from Dalton High School and attended McKenzie Business College in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She and Bob were both baptized at the Central Church of Christ in Dalton, where she loved her church family passionately. She served them in humbleness and to the glory of the Lord and all who knew her were blessed by her passion for Jesus, her love of children and her generous spirit.
A celebration of Marlene’s ‘home-going’ will be Thursday at 4:00 P.M. at the Central Church of Christ with special ministers and friends leading the celebration.
The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
prior to the funeral.
