Edna Summerour-Johnston

Mrs. Edna Arlyn Summerour-Johnston, 89, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late, Elder W. W. Walker and Ora Hicock Walker and was preceded in death by her husbands, Brooke F. Summerour and Robert Johnston; sister, Virginia Dudley.
Edna was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Dalton.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and love to cook and plant flowers.
Edna is survived by her children, Robert Summerour of Riverside, CA, Ronald Summerour of San Mateo, CA, Susan and Byron Defore of Ooltewah, TN. and Michael and Susan Summerour of Riverside, CA; brother, Donald Walker of Macon, GA; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 P.M. from the Seventh Day Adventist Church with the Rev. Greg Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
