Mrs. Amy “Pauline” Henry, of Dalton, left this present world June 25, 2012, to be with her personal companion, friend and savior, our Lord Jesus Christ.
She was of the Baptist faith and had attended Victory Baptist Church. She had currently been residing at NHC Nursing Home, Ft. Oglethorpe GA.
She was born September 26, 1923, in Blairsville, GA, to Nannie Lou Conley and Charles Henry Stephens.
She, with her husband Joe, owned and operated several food establishments during their lifetime. At one time they were owners of Chat N’ Chew Restaurant, Wagon Wheel and Joe Henry’s Old Fashioned Foods.
She will be joining the following family members in Heaven, her parents, brothers and sister-in-laws Gene Stephens and Betty, Max Stephens and Betty, brothers, Robert, Conley and Donald Stephens, one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ruth Red and Marshal Red and great-grandson, Dakota Allen Huckaby of Dalton.
Until we meet again, she leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Joseph “Joe” J. Henry of Dalton, currently residing at NHC Nursing Home, Ft. Oglethorpe; her son, Charles B. Henry of Dalton; her daughter, Jo Ann H. Putnam of Rocky Face; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Tiffany and Christopher Huckaby and great-grandson, Conner Huckaby of Rocky Face; nieces and nephews are also fondly remembered.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. David Flood and the Rev. Gary McPherson officiating.
Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Tuesday from 5 to 9 P.M.
