Mrs. Geneva Thomas Chance, 85, of Dalton passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late Neal and Jane Patton Thomas and was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Hannah and a brother, Grady Thomas.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and great-great-great-grandmother.
Geneva is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, J. B. Chance of Dalton; children and spouses, Sue and Vernon Floyd and Mike and Pam Chance all of Dalton and Brenda and David Creekmore of Rocky Face; brothers, Richard Thomas of Dalton and Larry Thomas of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Chris and Gina Tarvin, Angie and Travis Fields and Hunter Chance; great-grandchildren, Christin and John Henry, Emily and Joshua Hicks; great-great-grandchildren, Ireland Henry and Holly Hicks.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 P.M. at Welcome Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Tarven, the Rev. Travis Martin and the Rev. Scott Winters officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 5 to 8 P.M.
