Jewell Stinson

Mrs. Jewell Stansell Stinson, 91, of Dalton, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 at Gordon Healthcare.
She was born January 10, 1921 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Harvey Stansell and Flora Whitecotton Stansell and was preceded in death by her husband, Loranza William Stinson (Lowe). She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Jewell is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Ron Blaylock of Dalton; grandchildren, Rhonda Creekmore of Dallas, TX, Jay and Lana Blaylock of Dalton, and Rod and Michelle Blaylock of Hoschton, GA; great-grandchildren, Will Creekmore of Atlanta, Katelyn, Sara and Bo Blaylock of Lutz, FL, Ross and Tyler Blaylock of Hoschton, GA and Charlie Burrus of Dalton; sisters, Eva Roberts of Calhoun and Christine Legg of Fayetteville, GA; nieces and nephews also survive.
Charlotte and Ron would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Morning Pointe Assisted Living of Calhoun and Gordon Healthcare for their excellent care and compassion.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Hare officiating.
Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Church Cemetery with Jay Blaylock, Rod Blaylock, Will Creekmore, Ross Blaylock, David Blaylock and Tony Legg serving as pallbearers and Derek Dickard, Executive Director, and staff and members of Morning Pointe Assisted Living as Honorary pallbearers..
The family will receive friends and relatives at Love Funeral Home Sunday from noon until the service at 2 P.M.
