John C. White

Mr. John C. White, 85, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at his residence.
He was the son of the late Horatio and Gertrude Hayes White and was preceded in death by his sister, Rosa Mae White Calhoun and brother, Frank White.
John was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII and the Battle of the Bulge, where he later received the Purple Heart. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation after 34 years of service and was a member of Crosspointe Christian Centre.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Charlotte White of Rocky Face; daughters and son-in-law, Theresa and Lamar Pinson, Beth White all of Cartersville; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Harbor House, 1101 Underwood St., Dalton, Ga. 30720.
