Mr. Hoyt Lewallen, 74, of Dalton, passed away Sunday September 9, 2012 at his residence.
He was the son of the late, Jess and Barbara Lewallen.
Hoyt was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Dalton First Baptist Church and owned and operated Hoyt’s Appliances for 44 years. Hoyt loved to help people, whether it was help in business or personal.
He never lost his playful sprit, he was a collector of model trains, planes, cars and old toys.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years Polly Carter Lewallen; step-son, Michael Fauscette of Marlton, NJ; granddaughters, Jessica Fauscette and Kendyl Fauscette both of Marlton; twin brother Holbert (Carolyn) Lewallen of Dalton; his beloved pet, Rowdy Lewallen; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dalton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Cannon the Rev. Dr. Billy Nimmons and the Rev. Bill Ireland officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends in the Atrium of the church Wednesday from 9 a.m. til the funeral hour at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dalton First Baptist Church, P.O.
Box 827 Dalton, GA 30722-0827.
