Thomas Ward, Jr.

Mr. Thomas “Tom” A. Ward, Jr, 53, of the Carbondale Community, Dalton, passed away, Thursday, December 6, 2007 from injuries sustained in a automobile accident. He was the son of the late, Thomas “T. A.” A. Ward, Sr.
Tom was a loving and dedicated, husband, father, new grandfather, brother, hard worker and compassionate friend. He has touched so many lives with his generosity, ability, and love for his community and country .Tom is survived by his loving wife of 26 Years, Sandy Whedbee Ward of Carbondale; children, Tommy Ward, III, Kara Lou Ward, and Will Ward all of Carbondale; mother, Geneva Stone Ward of Carbondale; grandson, Landon Josiah Layman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Buddy Edmons of Macon , Ga., Nancy and Keith Colvin of Locust Grove, GA., Anna and Paul Joseph of Dalton, Sharon Johnson Parkman of Gainesville, Ga.; brothers, Richard “Dick” Ward and Harry Ward both of Dalton; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Marcus, Dr. Dan Whittaker, Pastor Jim Burgess and the Rev. Mark Seay officiating. Burial will follow in Swamp Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday from 5 to 9 P.M.
