Mr. L. S. Orr, Jr., 76, of Dalton, died Sunday, August 14, 2005 at his residence.
A graduate of Dalton High and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
He served in the Korean War, stationed in Berlin and was owner and operator of Decorating Supply for 49 years.
He was an avid supporter of Ga. Tech, Golfer and enjoyed traveling, reading, and classical music.
He was the son of the late, Luther S. Orr, Sr. and Flossye Roach Orr and was preceded in death by his son, Steven Scott Orr.
L. S. is survived by his wife of 49 years , Joan Hale Orr of the residence.
Sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Karen Orr of Atlanta, Mark and Laura Orr of Dalton.
Granddaughters, Catherine and Emily Orr of Atlanta, Anna and Kate Orr of Dalton.
Sister and Brother-in-law, Vivian and Neil Cameron of Decatur.
Niece and Nephew, Sherri Cameron of Decatur and Gerald Cameron of Alexandria, Virginia.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 A.M. in the chapel of the First United Methodist Church with The Dr. Joe Peabody officiating.
Burial will be in the West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M. and on
Wednesday in the Atrium of the church from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church Music Fund, P.O. Box 627, Dalton, Ga. 30722-0627.
