Arie A. Wood

Mr. Arie A. Wood, 94, of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at his residence.
A veteran of World War II, he was the son of the late Andrew J. and Emma Hardin Wood and was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Julia Hope Wood; brothers and sister-in-law, Bill and Mamie Wood, Arthur B. (Buddy) Wood and Oscar Wood; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosa and Jim Pierce, Willie Francis & Charles Smith, Lizzy and Sid Dixon, Mary Bailey and Lilly Wood; son-in-law, Hoyt Copeland.
Arie is survived by his children, Kay and Steed Staten, Wanda Copeland all of Dalton; grandchildren, Vickie and Billy Swinney, Steven and Penny Staten all of Dalton, Anna Manis and fiancé, Dan Parker of Long Creek, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Drew Manis, Amanda Swinney and John Swinney; sister-in-law, Frances Wood of Blue Ridge, GA.; brother-in-law, Leonard Bramblett of Dalton; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Swinney officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Thursday from 5 to 9 P.M.
